Kambhampati Haribabu sure of BJP winning big in Andhra Pradesh

Haribabu is confinent of winning in state even if TDP walks away
Visakhapatnam: BJP state president for Andhra Pradesh, Kambhampati Hari Babu, who filed filed his nomination for Vizag Lok Sabha amid much fanfare on Wednesday, said his party was confident of chalking out its future course of action in case of a break up of ties with the Telugu Desam.
“I have just heard the news on Naidu’s announcement on walking out of the alliance. If that’s final, the BJP will chalk out its own course,” Mr Haribabu told this newspaper.
A day before Mr Haribabu filed his nomination, in a meeting on Tuesday, both the BJP and TD leaders had vowed to cooperate with each other for the win of their respective candidates. Accusing the BJP of fielding weak candidates in the Assembly and Parliament seats offered to the saffron party, the Telugu Desam president on Thursday announced that he was walking out of the electoral alliance between the two parties during a road show in Gajapathinagaram in Vizianagaram district.
Naidu said, "coming under some pressure, BJP fielded weak candidates, which will not serve the purpose of the poll alliance between both the parties. Opponents will benefit from fielding weak candidates. That's why we have decided to withdraw from the alliance in Seemandhra. We entered into poll pact with BJP to see Narendra Modi as the prime minister, which will benefit both the country and state. But if this
is the case it will not serve the purpose."
As part of poll pact between the two parties, TD spared 4 parliament and 14 assembly segments in Andhra Pradesh. Vizag, Rajampet, Narsapur and Tirupaty are the Lok Sabha segments where BJP fielded its candidates.
