For the second week in a row, the top two of Virginia and Cal Poly merely took care of their own business while the rest of the ranked teams underneath them went haywire with losses and upsets and mayhem.
Vanderbilt, Houston and South Carolina all lost home weekend series. Louisville, Texas and Florida made mighty jumps. The top 10 looks totally reshuffled once again. Almost makes you wish June were here already, doesn't it?

Of note: The offense is still a curiosity for the Cavs, hitting just .274. The UVa order managed only 14 hits in 25 innings in a series win over Clemson last weekend.
2. Cal Poly (30-5)
Trending:
Last week: 2
Of note: Ever since a bizarre, rain-soaked 15-14 loss at Seattle on March 8, the Mustangs have gone 20-2, including last weekend's impressive sweep at Hawaii.
3. Oregon State (27-7)
Trending:
Last week: 4
Of note: Pullman is a tough roadie for anyone. But the Beavers smacked 27 hits in their two wins over Washington State, after being held to four hits in Friday's loss.
4. Louisiana (34-4)
Trending:
Last week: 5
Of note: Talk about power and speed, the Cajuns lead the country in home runs with 46 and in triples with 22. The cherry on top? Louisiana is still unbeaten on the road at 14-0.
5. Texas (29-8)
Trending:
Last week: 9
Of note: The Longhorns finally flexed some offensive muscle when they swept Oklahoma, scoring 25 runs on 36 hits and 15 walks. Congratulations, Mark Payton, you didn't have to carry the load.
6. Louisville (27-8)

Of note: Not sure anyone saw a three-game sweep at Houston for the Cards, but here we are. Now another tough roadie looms, as a showdown at American leader Central Florida starts Thursday.
7. Florida State (27-8)

Last week: 3
Of note: Don't mistake the Seminoles for road warriors, as they are now 6-5 in their last 11 games away from Dick Howser Stadium. Last weekend, FSU lost two of three at formerly dormant Georgia Tech.
8. Washington (25-7-1)
Trending:
Last week: 10
Of note: Although the Pac-12 has its traps, the next three weekends are winnable, with road trips to Cal and Utah sandwiched around the Apple Cup series against Washington State.
9. Oregon (28-10)

Last week: 11
Of note: Stepping out of conference, the Ducks went 5-0 last week, including a weekend sweep of UC Riverside. Mitchell Tolman went 9-for-15 on the week and earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.
10. Vanderbilt (27-10)

Of note: Hard to believe, but Friday ace Tyler Beede dropped to 5-4, giving up nine hits and seven runs with four walks in his five innings against Texas A&M, part of a 1-2 weekend for VU.

Of note: You get the feeling this past weekend's three-game sweep at the hands of Louisville could either be a wake-up call or a fold-the-tents point in the Cougars' season.

Of note: Sunday's 10-4 loss to Arkansas was the Tigers' fourth Sunday loss since SEC play kicked in. They have given up 36 runs in Sunday conference games.

Of note: Wow. That was a surprising series loss to Florida. At home, no less. The Gamecocks have dropped four of their last six games and have a tough trip to Auburn this weekend.
14. UNLV (25-11)

Of note: The Rebels picked up a few RPI points in going 1-1 at Arkansas. But that tougher-than-expected series vs. San Jose State, which included a Sunday loss, raises a single eyebrow.
15. Oklahoma State (26-10)

Of note: While nearly everybody is having major road issues, the Cowboys improved to 11-3 in games away from home with last weekend's three-game sweep at West Virginia.
16. Florida (23-13)

Of note: The Jekyll and Hyde Gators have jockeyed in and out of the Power Rankings over the last four weeks, but the series win at South Carolina was a huge confidence boost.

Of note: As usual, the Owls have their priorities in line, leading Conference USA in strikeouts (310 in 38 games) and defense (.979 fielding percentage). Hosting second-place UAB is next on the weekend docket.
18. Texas Tech (28-11)

Of note: The Red Raiders have a solid RPI of No. 10 in the country but now will have to play three games vs. 298th-ranked Prairie View A&M. Texas Tech will have to hope the "anchor effect" isn't too harsh.
19. UC Santa Barbara (22-8)
Trending:
Last week: 20
Of note: Nice rebound for the Gauchos, who took two of three from Cal State Fullerton after dropping a series to Cal Poly. Leadoff man Joey Epperson still leads the country with a .441 batting average, despite "only" going 4-for-14 last weekend.

Of note: The fundamentally sound Waves are currently on a 14-2 run and are helped by their seventh-ranked pitching staff (2.19 team ERA) and third-ranked defense (.984 fielding percentage).
