Meet the characters of Agraja

The Kannada film Agraja is based on an idea that was suggested to director Srinandan by composer RP Patnaik. “He gave me a point that triggered off my screenplay. The film, which traces the life of the character played by Jaggesh, has a message in the end,” says the director. Here’s a look at the cast and what they play in the film:
Poornima
Poornima plays Jaggesh’s wife.Her character acts as a pillar of support as she sees different things in the life of her husband.
Jaggesh
“Jaggesh plays a man who becomes an active part of the political arena. The trials and tribulations faced by his character make this film interesting,” says Srinandan.
Kamna Jethmalani “She plays an aspiring politician, who is ambitious and wants to make a mark in the field. Her cameo is about how and what she ends up doing when she meets Jaggesh’s character,” says Srinandan.
Darshan
“He plays an IAS officer in the film. His role is a cameo, but it is extremely important and his character brings about a major transition in the life of Jaggesh’s character too,” says the director.
Sanjjanaa
“I play a superstar, whose life is a little exaggerated onscreen. This actress gets involved in a big mess unknowingly. My character’s track shows the dark side of showbiz, but the role is not autobiographical,” laughs Sanjjanaa, whose track also has a message for the audience.
