A Wi-Fi hotspot service inside fast-food franchise restaurants is a great way to attract customers; a free wireless connection tied in with a good meal can be part of its initiatives to boost customer loyalty. This has become a standard fare these days in improving the in-restaurant experience for guests; Burger King Corp. (BKC), for example, has added Wi-Fi as an easier to use, robust experience for guests on the go throughout its restaurants. This initiative enhances the burger venue customer-relationship strategies; people can come in to eat and/or use the Wi-Fi service, as the joint charges nothing to use its hotspots for connectivity in and around its facilities.
Offering free wireless access to the Internet for business customers with a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop or smartphone is ‘good business,’ conveyed a PCWorld post. It conveyed, “The more time [they] are sitting at [the] tables, the more money they are going to spend in stores. And [this] will add even more sales […] and make customers more loyal to [the] brand. That's the theory, anyway.”
Offering a customer-centric Wi-Fi hotspot service in addition to providing good food menu deals is part of BKCs' strategy to build its community. Up until today, Burger King Corp. has been serving up Wi-Fi via its long-standing relationship with AT&T (News - Alert) provider. Dan Walsh, AT&T Senior Vice President, Global Customer Solutions & Integration said in a Yahoo! Finance post that “AT&T's reliable Wi-Fi network aligns with the BURGER KING brand commitment to create the best guest experience and lays the foundation for continued growth."
Walsh told that AT&T Wi-Fi services for all of the connected BKC U.S. restaurants have seen an improvement. This week, the burger chain franchise introduced a new Plug-And-Play Wi-Fi Upgrade solution, dubbed WHOPPER Wi-Fi, powered by AT&T Ready Zone, which presents a streamlined digital platform that improves the business customers’ access to AT&T Wi-Fi. The upgraded "Whopper Wi-Fi" platform replaces and improves the current restaurant’s Wi-Fi networks to provide guests with a better experience. According to the post, the new platform keeps users mobilized and engaged. It is able to satisfy their connectivity needs and suit their on-the-go lifestyles.
Not all of Burger Kings’ fast-chain restaurants offer free Wi-Fi, however, many Burger King locations are up and running already providing free wireless to customers. BKC understands that Wi-Fi connectivity is a growing priority, so consumers are told this popular fast food hamburger chain will continue to incorporate additional hotspot installation solutions. The goal is always to add features that can make a customer’s time at BK restaurants as enjoyable as possible while gaining an edge on the competition.
