Dr. K.P.S. Chellammal, Tamil scholar, teacher and Tirukkural exponent, has organised a function on April 20 to mark the fifth anniversary of her World Tirukkural Art Forum, release of her book, Tirukkuralil Penniya Sindanaigal, and a health camp. Chellammal, who has been honoured by the State for her service as a teacher, propagates Tirukkural by presenting shows, including dance and karagam, across the State and abroad.
Dr. Asana Andiyappan will preside over the function and poet Sethuraman will release the book that will be received by Dr. Umar Khayyam. A poetry session, a competition and a skit based on Tirukkural are on the agenda.
The function to be held at 6/35, First Street, Tirukkural Arangam, Tiruvalluvar Nagar, Kottur, will begin at 9.30 a.m.
