Bill Bratton joins cops on massive gang raid

The boss is still a cop at heart.

Proving he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton went on a ride along with cops who rounded up members of two warring Bronx gangs.

Bratton and his Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence, John Miller, attended a tactical briefing Wednesday morning in the Bronx with cops preparing to raid several locations across 41st Precinct, sources said.

The two then agreed to accompany the housing cops and members of the warrants squad, which were broken up into several teams, as they simultaneously stormed numerous spots around the area.

Bratton and Miller each accompanied different teams during the takedowns.

In all, more than 25 gang members from the rival Young Bosses and the Forest Over Everything gangs were rounded up during the early morning hours Wednesday.

The gangs have been fighting a bitter turf war around Morrisania for years, including one that killed 4-year-old Lloyd Morgan back in 2012 after he got caught in their crossfire.

The commissioner even tweeted about how much fun he was having after the successful busts, posting several pictures of himself with an ear-to-ear grin while posing with cops.

“Up in the Bronx with the #NYPD Emergency Service Unit Apprehension Tactical Team on a crew takedown this AM,” read one tweet.

Those arrested were awaiting arraignment Wednesday.
