First look of Khoobsurat: Fahionista Sonam Kapoor in another de-glam avatar

Looks like going de-glam is the latest trend in Bollywood. Sonam Kapoor will again sport the girl-next-door image in Khoobsurat.

The first look shows Sonam in regular salwar-suit with hair let loose. The film directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor & Anil Kapoor, stars Sonam opposite Fawad Khan.

A leading portal reports that in the film Sonam plays 'Dr. Mili' - a physiotherapist of an IPL team.

Earlier, it was reported that Anil Kapoor wanted to retain the original character, Rekha, in the film. It was decided that Sonam would play the daughter of the character Rekha played in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khubsurat.

The filmmakers tried approaching Rekha for the role but she turned down the offer. So now, Sonam's mother will be played by Kirron Kher.

Sonam in an interview said, "Well, Kirronji plays a character named Manju after Rekhaji's character in Khoobsurat. That's all I am going to reveal right now."
