Norway March Trade Surplus Narrows

Norway's foreign trade surplus in March shrunk from a year ago, Statistics Norway said Wednesday.

The trade surplus decreased to NOK 31.409 billion from NOK 38.855 billion in in the same month last year.

Imports surged 20.5 percent and exports rose 0.6 percent. In March, export of fish was high and those of electric cars at a record high.

On a monthly basis, imports grew 7.3 percent in March and exports rose 0.9 percent.
