NORWAY GAS-Deliveries to Germany rise further

* Norway's gas exports amount to 288 mcm/day

* Flows to Germany rise by 11 mcm/day

OSLO, April 16 (Reuters) - Norwegian gas exports to

continental Europe edged higher on Wednesday morning, after

rising to winter peak levels the previous day, as the market

remained concerned about the risk of Russia cutting supplies via

Ukraine.

Deliveries to Britain were steady, with flows through the

Langeled pipeline running at a rate of 22 million cubic metres

(mcm) per day.

Ukrainian forces launched a "special operation" on Tuesday

against separatist militia in its Russian-speaking eastern

region, prompting Russian President Vladimir Putin to warn of

the risk of civil war.

Russia supplies 30 percent of Europe's gas needs, and about

half of it flows via Ukraine.

Germany's RWE (Xetra: RWE.DE - news) said on Tuesday it began deliveries

of natural gas to Ukraine via Poland on Tuesday, including gas

from Russia, the European Union and Norway.

A planned gas field shutdown due to preparations to drill a

new well is expected to cut Norwegian gas output by 24 mcm per

day on April 19-21, Gassco said.

The following table shows Norwegian pipeline gas flows

measured in million cubic metres per day compared with the

previous day's closing level:
