UGC invites applications for post of Joint Secretary

The University Grants Commission (UGC ), New Delhi has invited applications for the post of Joint Secretary on deputation basis. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply online on or before May 5, 2014.

Vacancy details:

Name of Post: Joint Secretary

Scale of pay: PB4`37,400-67,000 +`8700/-(Grade Pay) plus usual allowances as admissible to central government offices in the corresponding posts.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be an officer holding a post analogous to those in the scale of pay of PB3`15,600-39,100 +`7600/- (Grade Pay) from the Central and State Governments, Universities and other autonomous organizations. The candidate should also have completed five years service in that grade and must have experience of educational administration (period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed five years).

Selection process:

The applications received for the job shall be subjected to screening by a screening committee, which will shortlist suitable candidates for interview. The shortlisted candidates shall then be selected for recruitment on the basis of their performance in the interview.

Candidates are advised to go through the detailed application procedure before filling the application form.

After the candidate has successfully filled the application form, he or she is required to note the registration number displayed on the screen. They can then re-open the dame data, using the reference number to view and print the form.

The candidates have to take a printout of the PDF generated of the duly filled application form and send a copy of the same with necessary documents through proper channel to: Director (Admn.), UGC, New Delhi- 110002.

Note: any application received after the last date will be rejected. Also, the candidates who have applied in response to the earlier advertisement need not apply as their earlier application will be taken into consideration.
