A mediation attempt between the Bombay Parsi Punchayet and long-time punchayet trustee Jamsheed Kanga and Homi Khushrokhan with respect to two banned priests fell through on Tuesday evening.

MUMBAI: A mediation attempt between the Bombay Parsi Punchayet and long-time punchayet trustee Jamsheed Kanga and Homi Khushrokhan with respect to two banned priests fell through on Tuesday evening. The matter will now come up before the Supreme Court on Wednesday. Kanga and Khushrokhan had challenged a BPP ban on behalf of the priests, Framroz Mirza and Khushroo Madon, who were penalized for performing the last rites of Parsis who chose to be cremated and navjote ceremony of kids whose fathers are non-Parsis.
