A case of obstruction and misbehaviour was registered against senior BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui for allegedly opposing videography in Auraiya district.

KANPUR: A case of obstruction and misbehaviour was registered against senior BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui for allegedly opposing videography in Auraiya district. An election official said that Siddiqui and one of his supporters had allegedly misbehaved and obstructed the way of static team of videographers, who was covering the motorcade of the leader after it arrived at Mandi Samiti close to 'dharamkanta' area of the district on Sunday.
The static team incharge explained that they were doing videography as per the Election Commission's guidelines, Siddiqui and his supporter allegedly used abusive language against them, said a district official.

After Siddiqui and his associates left the place, the officer lodged a complaint with Kotwali police and apprised his seniors, including the district returning officer, about the incident.
"A case was registered against the BSP leader on charges of obstructing the official work and using abusive language against a government official. Further investigations are underway in this regard," Kotwali police station incharge said while talking to TOI over phone. The BSP leader has been touring the region, seeking votes for his party.
