Missing Congress UDF booth agent found dead

The body of a Congress worker from Koothuparamba, who had gone missing after the Lok Sabha election on Thursday, was found hanging on the premises of a school in Mokeri in the district in the early hours of Tuesday.

KANNUR: The body of a Congress worker from Koothuparamba, who had gone missing after the Lok Sabha election on Thursday, was found hanging on the premises of a school in Mokeri in the district in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to police, the body of K K Pramode, who was the booth agent of the UDF at Kannavam LP School, was found hanging from a tree near Indira Gandhi Public School in Mokeri around 2 a m.

Ever since he had gone missing, there were rumours that the rivals had possible abducted him and following this home minister Ramesh Chennithala has entrusted North Zone ADGP N Shanker Reddy to probe the case.
However, policed said prima facie this was a case of suicide and there was no political reason behind this case. After the reports of his going missing there were reports that Pramode was spotted near Kannur Railway Station.
Since he had gone missing after he completed his duty as the UDF booth agent, there were rumours that it could possibly a case of abduction by political rivals, following which a high-level enquiry was ordered.
