Heart Bleed Vulnerability(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) VIENNA, Va., April 14 -- The National Court Reporters Association issued the following news release: Many news sites are reporting a vulnerability (dubbed the Heartbleed bug) discovered in OpenSSL, an encryption technology used by a majority of websites and online services--including banks, email providers, and social media sites--to protect sensitive data as it's transmitted from users to web services. We want to emphasize that NCRA.org and its ancillary sites that require log-in information (the NCRA Online Sourcebook (applewebdata://FB7FE78C-044F-47C3-917B-120C041F46A8/ncrasourcebook.com) and the NCRA Online Store (http://image2.source4.com/welcome.asp)) were not affected by this vulnerability. However, if you use the same password on any NCRA.org site that you use elsewhere, your account could be at risk if those sites were affected by this bug. If the above situation applies to you, we recommend changing your password to a new, unique password.
