Najib Reiterates Gratitude For Singapore's Participation In Search For MH370

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak has once again expressed gratitude to Singapore for its assistance and support to Malaysia in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight, MH370. "I thank our neighbour again for their friendship and solidarity during our trying time," he wrote on his Facebook account. The posting coincided with Singaporean Defence Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen's courtesy visit on Najib at the Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya Monday afternoon. Najib noted that the city state had been one of the many nations that had assisted and supported Kuala Lumpur following the disappearance of the Malaysian jetliner. Beijing-bound Flight MH370 with 239 people aboard left the KL International Airport at 12.41 am on March 8 and disappeared from radar screens about an hour later while over the South China Sea. It was to have arrived in Beijing at 6.30 am the same day. A multinational effort to locate the plane is currently underway in the southern Indian Ocean off the Australian city of Perth after it was learnt that the plane had veered off course. -- BERNAMA
