For the first time, the Royal Challengers Bangalore shirt will feature a sponsor other than a Vijay Mallya-owned brand.

Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei has come on board and will get to put its name and logo in the prime spot - on the front of the shirt.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli was at hand in Mumbai to unveil the new partnership, and heaped praise on the IPL, calling it a great way for players to relax and enjoy themselves.

"In the IPL, there is a lot of enjoyment for the players. Everybody is relaxed coming [away] from the international schedule. There is a good atmosphere and we will try to utilise it," the 25-year-old Delhiite said.

Kohli, the player of the tournament in the recently-concluded World Twenty20, said he wants to take RCB to their maiden IPL title this season.

"This time around, we hope to go a few steps ahead and actually get that trophy. We have added a few more quality players in the side and I am sure we will come out with flying colours," he said.

"We try every year to win and we have a strong team. We will try to win the trophy because we have got a good combination this time and we will try to utilise it."
