'Dwarfs' in N inviting Oct 12-like action

SHEIKHUPURA-Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Sunday said that some political 'dwarfs' in the rank of PML-N were preparing the situation for October 12, 1999 like action by delivering unwise and irresponsible statements.
Addressing a public meeting here at a local park, the AML chief claimed that the PML-N government had lost its credibility after it failed to fulfil the promises Nawaz Sharif had made during the campaign for general elections.
Sh Rasheed alleged that about 119 key posts had been filled through the appointment of 'favourites' in violation of merit and governing laws by the government, adding that 30 vacancies of high commissioners and ambassador were lying vacant in the embassies and would be filled by obliging the blue-eyed boys.
"The Nawaz government came to power through rigging and not votes," Sh Rasheed declared.
He said that the lawlessness, inflation and loadshedding had made the people lives miserable and they were praying to Allah Almighty to rid them of the incumbent rulers. Earlier, the AML chief was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival by his party workers at Batti Chowk.
