Putting Sonam, Saif on a parody parade
The things people say on public platforms define them and who they are. And this holds truer for celebritites and public figures than for the common folk. Inevitably, it’s what they get famous (or notorious for) and that shows how relevant they are socially. The most recent example of this phenomenon is Sonam Kapoor, whose takiya kalam has caught on, inspiring a parody called Sonam’s Selfie Song.
Here are other celebrities who love repeating certain catchphrases and words....
You know what I mean – Sonam Kapoor She talks nineteen to the dozen and repeats the line “You know what I mean” more often than not, as was seen recently on a talk show. Her ‘filler’ quote led to a parody video by Culture Machine, which satirises her various repetitions.

Women empowerment – Rahul Gandhi Rahul Gandhi’s repeated mention of this in a recent TV interview have triggered a whole online campaign of sorts by those annoyed by it. They came up with memes, jokes and parodies about his oft-used words.
Anshan – Arvind Kejriwal A rap parody on him was called ‘Dharna rap’, which says it all. No Kejriwal impersonation is complete without the use of Anshan.
Sanskar – Alok Nath After depicting infinite sanskari roles through his film career, he was sporty enough to laugh at the jokes himself. That’s #sanskar!

Wow – Saif Ali Khan The actor has denied using ‘wow’ as much as his imitators would like us to believe, but he does succumb to it every now and then.
B***M*** –
Virat Kohli Those who follow Kohli’s game will precisely know why his trademark words have not been spelt out completely. Every time he gets all charged up on the cricket field, he’ll invariably end up venting these colourful words. It’s quite amusing.
