The Green Prince,” the award-winning Israeli documentary about a Hamas operative turned Israeli spy, is being remade as a feature film.

Pic, which clinched the Sundance Audience Award in the world cinema documentary section this year, will get a theatrical remake from Electric City Entertainment along with Richard Harding and Sam Feuer, according to the Israeli media.

“Prince,” which tells the true story of Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of a top Hamas leader who defected to Israel and served as an informant to the Israeli secret service for more than 10 years, premiered the opening night of Sundance and was an Israeli-U.K.-Germany co-production. Schirman, John Battsek of Passion Pictures and Simon Chinn of Red Box Films all served as co-producers and will reprise their roles in the feature film version.

Music Box Films bought U.S. rights to the documentary in March, and will open the film theatrically later this year.
