TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bekasi Mayor, Rahmat Effendi, has urged all district and village heads to work harder in carrying out their duties after they had received new official cars. "They have been working hard all this time," he said, Friday, April 11.
However, with the new official vehicles, they are expected to have even better performance than before. "We don't want the new cars worsen their performance. I urge them to improve their service for the public to be better," he said.
A member on Bekasi council's Commission A, Ariyanto Hendrata, said that the mobility of allowances for district and village hears should be proportional with their performance on the field. "That is to motivate them to serve the public optimally. We don't want their laziness passes down to the public," he explained.
Therefore, it is required to evaluate their performance once they have received those facilities. The evaluation will become a deliberation for the chiefs' positions. " We will just confiscate their cars if they are lazy," he uttered.
