SINDRI:
Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC) MLA from Nirsa Arup Chatterjee assured villagers in Baliapur of piped drinking water from
Panchet dam if his party candidate
Anand Mahto won from the Dhanbad parliamentary seat.
Addressing street corner meetings at a dozen villages in Baliapur, including Salpatra, Dudhiya, Dolabar, Bera-Niyamatpur, Guludih, Nichitpur, Aamtal, Belgarhiya and Mukunda, in favour of the party candidate on Saturday, Chatterjee said Mahto has worked for people's welfare.
He also said MCC is committed to bringing about development in the rural areas in Dhanbad.
Speaking to journalists, Chatterjee alleged that so-called mainstream political parties and leaders have completely ignored the people living in villages. He said the villagers, who want basic amenities like safe drinking water, road, health facility and power, have now started realizing that leaders visiting them in swanky cars are not going to come to them again leave alone look after their needs. So they have decided to vote for MCC, he said.
