PATNA: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is arriving in Bihar on April 16 to address an election rally at Kishanganj to seek votes in favour of the party candidate and sitting MP, Maulana Asararul Haque. Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency is going to polls on April 24.
It will be the second election meeting of Rahul in Bihar after the first held on April 1 at Aurangabad where Rahul sought votes in favour of former Delhi police commissioner and Congress candidate Nikhil Kumar.

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Choudhary on Saturday asked the party's Kishanganj district unit and its neighbouring areas like Araria, Purnia and Katihar to make necessary preparations to ensure huge turnout of people at Rahul's rally.
BPCC vice-president and media in charge Prem Chandra Mishra said the state Congress has requested the AICC for fixing programmes of party president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and several other senior functionaries of Congress in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth phase of elections in Bihar. "We are hopeful of getting programmes of several senior leaders," he said.
Haque is seeking to enter the parliament for the second consecutive term. He is locked in a multi-corner contest with BJP candidate Dilip Jaiswal, Aam Aadmi Party's Alimuddin Ansari and JD (U)'s Akhtarul Iman who recently defected from RJD and joined JD (U) for contesting the current Lok Sabha polls.
