NC-Cong hold joint coordination meet

Srinagar, Apr 11: National Conference and Congress held a high level joint coordination meet here          to review poll preparations ahead of the Parliamentary elections in the State.
The meeting was attended by NC Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Senior NC Leaders Abdul Rahim Rather, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Peer Afaq, Mubarak Gul, Ifran Shah, Shameema Firdous and JKPCC Vice President Muzaffar Parray and Congress Srinagar District President Abdul Gani Khan besides block presidents and district presidents of Congress and National Conference.
NC and Congress leaders emphasized on the need to protect the secular ethos of the country and the State against communal and divisive forces. They said that both parties are united at all levels and fronts to ensure a thumping victory for NC-Congress coalition candidates.
Speaking on the occasion, NC and Congress leaders said that these elections were about safeguarding the ideology that forms the bedrock of the Indian nation and identity and that both NC and Congress cadres would defeat those forces who are inimical to the State’s peace and harmony.
