Jamnagar Congress leader joins BJP

The Jitendra Lal, a Lohana community leader and Congress leader in Jamnagar, has joined BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

RAJKOT: The Jitendra Lal, a Lohana community leader and Congress leader in Jamnagar, has joined BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Jitendra Lal, who was Congress candidate against state minister Vasuben Trivedi in last assembly polls in Jamnagar South constituency, had resigned from Congress party without mentioning any reasons last week.
Jitendra Lal known as Jitu Lal in Jamnagar now officially declared that he is joing BJP.

"I have resigned from party and I joined BJP'' says Lal, who had contested twice on Congress ticket against BJP's Vasuben Trivedi but lost in a narrow margin. Lal's father Haridas Lal was cabinet minister in Chimanbhai Patel's government.
Jitendra Lal is associated with shipping business and was president of Jamnagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry for six years.
