YPC Wishes NPP Well At Tamale Congress

All is set for the country's main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party, to hold its National Delegates' Conference at the weekend in Tamale to elect officers to spearhead the party's effort at winning the 2016 general elections, to rescue the nation from the hands of the inept John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress government. The Ghanaian electorate and the general masses are weeping and calling for the NPP to come save the nation from their hardships. We cannot afford to let the nation down.

The NPP national executive elections are part of a re-organization process of the party towards the 2016 general elections.

With barely two days ahead of the conference, we the Young Patriotic Crusaders (YPC) wishes to send out a strong caution to all those who may want to do anything to undermine the smooth conduct of the event, more especially those who intend to instigate violence to mar the exercise, to change their minds before they are met with the brute force of the huge security to be present.

We have plenty of Confidence in all the aspiring candidates, but seemingly, we are a little short of strategic men (ways & means after effective campaign efforts) to guarantee victory ahead of our opponents the NDC.

We also want to use this platform to urge each and every committed party member to only focus on unity before, during and after the national congress. Pondering over the prospects that awaits us in 2016 one can only preach unity, live unity and imbibe unity for the general good of our party towards victory 2016 and even beyond.

Undeniably, such internal contests serves as an invitation to heightened tension, healthy competition and sometimes undue criticisms, but, in all this we should remember that a good leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of the blame

and a little less than his share of the credit.
Supporters of the various aspirants should use ''wisdom'' and also bear in mind that our opponents are watching; as such we need to banish ourselves from such practices of washing our dirty linens in public. We will never see an end of trouble until ''lovers of wisdom'' come to hold party position, or the holders of party positions become lovers of wisdom.

The YOUNG PATRIOTIC CRUSADERS (YPC) is going to work with and support any aspirant who emerges as victor and we urge all affiliates and other youth wings, associations within the party to emulate our stance.

YPC do hereby, by this press statement pledge to conduct ourselves as usual, and campaign for the general good of the party with utmost respect, decorum and circumspection devoid of acrimony and rancor towards all and every contestant.

YPC humbly urge any person or group of persons who may by themselves or have been officially appointed to work for the aspirants campaign Team to as well conduct themselves to reflect the core values of the great elephant family.

Lastly, we are appealing to the sentiments of delegates to vote for aspirants based on the following: humble leadership credentials, easily connects with grass roots supporters, core competences and capabilities to work in harmony with a dedicated team at the National Executive level and to help put in place appropriate systems and structures and value chain programs required to win the empathy of the good people of Ghana in the run up to election 2016.

The key factor is how we can all contribute our efforts as we thrive to achieve our common stated objectives.

We wish all the over 40 contestants the very best of luck and may the NPP as a party be the utmost WINNER.
