Smashing Pumpkins include three discs of unreleased music on 'Adore' reissue

CHICAGO, April 10 (UPI) -- The Smashing Pumpkins will include three discs of previously unreleased material on their reissue of Adore.

The expansive six-disc set will also include a remastered stereo version of the album, the album as it was released in mono, and a live DVD from the band's 1998 charity tour. Adore was originally released in 1998.

"One thing that might excite fans of the album is that we were able to go back and locate elements from the original sessions that were stored digitally, but never used," Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan writes on the band's website. "Fresh mixes have been commissioned, shedding light on not only the songs hidden foundations, but their futuristic nature as well."

The Adore reissue will debut some time this summer, and Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins plan to release several other new albums as well. Corgan will release his solo experimental album AEGEA in the next six to eight weeks, and the band has two albums, Monuments to an Elegy and Day for Night, in the works for 2015.
