BURBANK, Calif., April 10 (UPI) -- The Frozen movie soundtrack is just one week away from tying The Lion King's album record.

Frozen has spent another week at the top of the U.S. album chart, with sales of 149,000 from March 31-April 6. If the soundtrack maintains its number one status for one more week, it will have tied The Lion King album's performance in 1994-1995.

Sources expect Frozen's sales to exceed two million copies by the end of next week. The soundtrack includes the movie's smash hit signature song, "Let It Go," by Idina Menzel.

As a film, Frozen recently became the number one animated movie of all time. The animated feature has earned $1.072 billion as of March 31.

The Lion King has been a hit in its own right since its debut in 1994. It is the highest-grossing hand-drawn film in history, and The Lion King stage production based on the movie and its music is the highest-grossing Broadway musical of all time.
