Salman Khan, who watched the Marathi film Yellow recently, is keen to remake it in Hindi. The news was confirmed by Uttung Thakur, who has co-produced the film along with Riteish Deshmukh. Thakur will be co-producing the Hindi version with Khan and Deshmukh. “I am happy that Salman has liked the film and wants to make it in Hindi. The credit goes to Riteish, who is Salman’s friend and showed him our film,” said Thakur.
The film, which is the journey of Gauri Gadgil, a national swimming champion with learning disabilities, is helmed by cinematographer turned director Mahesh Limaye and has Gadgil playing herself in the film as the protagonist. Limaye will also direct the Hindi version and Gadgil will reprise her role in it. The Marathi version also stars Upendra Limaye, Mrinal Kulkarni, Manoj Joshi, Aishwarya Narkar and Usha Nadkarni in key roles.
Kabir Khan denies Katrina playing a Pakistani doctor in Phantom
Director Kabir Khan has denied reports that Katrina Kaif is playing a Pakistani doctor in Phantom. “It’s not true. And I cannot reveal what she is playing,” messaged the director, when asked about the actor’s profession in
the film. The film, which has just completed a stint in Punjab, is about 70 per cent complete. The next schedules of the film will be held in London and the US.
