NU clobbers FEU in Shakey’s V-League

MANILA, Philippines — Reigning titlist National University posted its third shutout win by clobbering Far Eastern University, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 in the 11th Shakey’s V-League First Conference on Thursday.

The win formalized the Lady Bulldogs’ entry to the quarterfinals with an pristine 4-0 mark in group B. They are set to face Davao Lady Agilas in their last assignment.

Dindin Santiago finished with 13 hits while Carmina Aganon added 10 points for NU, which is raring to make up for its disappointing early exit in the recent UAAP wars.

The Lady Tamaraws, meanwhile, dropped to a third place tie with San Sebastian at 1-2.

Mary Palma wound up with nine points while rookie wonder Bernadette Pons and Genevieve Casugod’s chipped in identical seven hits.
