Results of the Mah-MBA/MMS-CET will be declared on April 21 followed by centralized admission process (CAP). The exams were conducted on March 15 and 16, 2014.

The examinees who qualify through Mah-MBA/MMS-CET have to sit for three rounds before the counseling based final round.
Final merit list after document verification will be published in June 21.

'Mah-MBA/MMS-CET' re-introduced this year is expected to help management institutes admit more students to the MBA or postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) courses. Last year, over 40 per cent of the 45,000-plus seats had remained vacant.

The state government re-introduced CET in the state for admission to MBA/MMA seats to help institutes located in the peripheral and rural areas to admit students.

Mah-MBA/MMS-CET is more popular among aspirants in the rural and sub-urban parts of Maharashtra over Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education. The no provision for group discussion and personal interview rule and any score above zero in the entrance test sufficient to secure a seat through the state-wide merit list to be prepared as part of the Maharashtra CET scheme has made the test a cake walk compared to other MBA entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT.

Another puller attraction with CET over other MBA admission tests is the 15 per cent outside Maharashtra state (OMS) quota seats that can be filled by candidates from Maharashtra.

Data compiled on the number of students who appeared for the CET compared with the availability of seats indicated marked upsurge.
