Officials with the City of Lethbridge have enacted a fire ban for all areas within city limits, with just a few exceptions.
The advisory is effective immediately and remain in place until further notice from the City of Lethbridge.
The ban applied to all open fires in the River Valley area, but excludes the following:
- Stoves at the John Martin Centre
- Stoves at the Elks Recreation Community Compound
- Stoves at the Picnic Shelter at Popson Park
- The community fire pit at Bridgeview RV Resort
- Any fire pit at a private home
