The IIT-JEE (mains) examination was held across the country on Sunday.More than 41,000 students appeared for the test in Jharkhand.

RANCHI: The IIT-JEE (mains) examination was held across the country on Sunday. More than 41,000 students appeared for the test in Jharkhand. Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur and Bokaro were the four centres for the examination in the state. In Ranchi alone, more than 18,500 aspirants appeared for the examination. The examination was held in two shifts, from 9:30am -12:30pm and from 1:30pm -3:30 pm.
There seems to be some confusion regarding a question in the Physics paper. A K Dutta, faculty of FIIT-JEE Ranchi, said, "One question in the Physics paper did not have the correct answer in the given options, thus creating confusion among students."
The top 1 lakh 50 thousand rank students will be get the chance to appear in the JEE advance examination which is entrance test for various IITs across the country.
Director of Aakash Educational Services Ltd., Akash Chaudhry, said that the questions were tough for those students who were just banking on NCERT books. He said, "The questions were not very tough but those who only prepared through NCERT books might have faced problems as these competitive examination needs preparation from various books."
