Six hurt in IMT Manesar factory fire

GURGAON: Six people, including two firefighters were injured in a massive fire in a glass and refrigerator parts manufacturer factory in IMT Manesar on Sunday.
According to fire department officials, the blaze started in the factory of Frigo Glass India Pvt Ltd at 10.45am and could not be doused even after six hours. The fire had spread over a 10-km area destroying 60% of the factory."Two firemen were injured after a gas cylinder burst," said fire officer Isham Singh Kashyap.
"Nearly three dozen fire tenders and over a 100 firemen were pressed into service but they could not control the blaze even several hours later. It may take another day to completely douse it," chief fire officer Mahender Bhardwaj said.
Explosion in a hydrogen cylinder is believed to be the cause of the fire.
