Hangal in Hangal taluk of Haveri district recorded maximum rainfall of 11.5mm in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on April 6. Muddebihal hobli in Muddebihal taluk of Bijapur district recorded maximum temperature of 41.7°C on April 5 at 2.30pm.

MANGALORE: Hangal in Hangal taluk of Haveri district recorded maximum rainfall of 11.5mm in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on April 6. Muddebihal hobli in Muddebihal taluk of Bijapur district recorded maximum temperature of 41.7°C on April 5 at 2.30pm. Budikote hobli in Bangarpet taluk of Kolar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 16.6°C on April 6 at 6.15am, KSNDMC, Bangalore stated.
More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 33% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 82% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 1% of the hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall of =2.5mm.
The maximum temperature rose at few places over North interior Karnataka and changed little over remaining parts of the state. The minimum temperature changed little over the state. No significant changes in weather condition are expected over Karnataka in next 2-days.
Karnataka for the period March 31 to April 6 recorded deficit rainfall of 67%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 5mm in south-interior, north-interior, Malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 1.7mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on April 6, four geographical regions received 0.1mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 1mm, a 93% deficit departure from normal.
