KOCHI: Ernakulam North police arrested two persons for preventing police officers from carrying out checking as part of election drive at Kathrikkadavu on Saturday. They also attacked the cops.
The arrested have been identified as Roy Joseph and Pramesh Rajagopal, both residents of Azad Road, Kaloor. According to police, the duo abused additional sub inspector Sebastian and civil police officer Sudheer.
3 arrested: Eloor police arrested three persons for preventing pollution control board officials from discharging their duty and using obscene language at them.

The arrested have been identified as Shibu Manuel (41), Eloor, Shabeer Iqbal of Pathalam (41) and Shabeer Abdu of Kuttikattukara.
According to police, after recent fish kill near Pathalam bund, pollution control board had collected water samples from the area for tests. The accused reached the pollution control board office in Eloor by 1pm and demanded the result.
Police said the official told them that the report will be ready only by 4pm. However, the accused stuck to their guns. But when the official refused to budge, they started using abusive language against them and prevented officials from discharging their duty.

The arrested have been identified as Roy Joseph and Pramesh Rajagopal, both residents of Azad Road, Kaloor. According to police, the duo abused additional sub inspector, Sebastian and civil police, officer Sudheer, who conducting checking at the area on Friday.
They were arrested a police under Ernakulam Town North sub inspector, Honey K Das. They were produced before Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate court, Ernakulam and the court remanded them in judicial custody for 14 days.
