The fifth National Conference on Emerging Vistas of Technology (NCEVT) in the 21st century was recently held at the city-based Parul Group of Institutes.

VADODARA: The fifth National Conference on Emerging Vistas of Technology (NCEVT) in the 21st century was recently held at the city-based Parul Group of Institutes.
According to trustees of the institute, the national conference had begun on Friday with over 800 delegates and 50 eminent professors and industry personnel gracing the conference with their presence.
“Since the last four years, this conference has been setting a benchmark in engineering research publication and this year over 386 research papers were received from which 144 papers were short listed and published,” managing trustee of Parul Group of Institutes Dr Devanshu Patel said.

These papers were reviewed by the eminent professors from IITs and NITs.
At the inauguration ceremony, general manager (head engineering) of Tata Projects Limited, Mumbai Prasanna Shukla and managing director of Bangalore-based Power Research and Development Consultants Private Limited Dr R Nagaraja were the chief guests.
The duo opined that such programs really do raise the level of research activities taking place in any academic institute. Moreover with the involvement of such huge number of industry personnel and eminent professors from IITs, NITs and other renowned engineering institutes, the exposure to post graduate students as well as the undergraduate students is unparalleled.
Vice president of L & T Power B K Basu, chief executive of L&T Sargent and Lundy Limited Srikant Jainapur, general manager of Ahmedabad-based Indo German Tool Room Vinesh Swadia and chairman of Vadodara chapter of IETE professor M M Pathan were the guests of honour.
