A case was registered against an alleged fraudster by the division number 6 police for trying to dupe innocent people of their hard-earned money by promising to get them into government jobs.

LUDHIANA: A case was registered against an alleged fraudster by the division number 6 police for trying to dupe innocent people of their hard-earned money by promising to get them into government jobs.
In his police complaint, agricultural development officer of Mullanpur informed that the accused, identified as Nirmal Singh resident of Samrala Chowk, had given an advertisement in a local daily for recruitment of development officers and peons in the department.

He added that the firm of the accused is neither registered nor licenced from any department and was duping innocent persons in this way.
Division number 6 police station has registered a case under Section 420 of IPC against the accused and started probe.
