LUDHIANA: A motorcycle-borne man decamped with a purse of a civil magistrate from Malhar road when she was returning home in Power colony on Wednesday evening.
In her police complaint, Manpreet Kaur, who is additional civil judge at Nawanshahr, said she was returning home on a rickshaw at 9pm when a motorcycle-borne man snatched her on Malhar road, just near the office of a Lok Sabha candidate. She added that she had Rs 7,000 cash, identity card and some important documents in her purse.
SHO Sarabha Nagar Arminder Singh said that a case under section 382 of the IPC has been registered against unidentified accused and probe is on. He added that they tried to identify the accused from CCTV camera footage but couldn't find anything.
