BHOPAL: Quite a ruckus was created when a man called the police control room and informed that a girl had been abducted in a car by three youths in Ratibad area on Thursday morning.
The information led to senior officials rushing to the spot, but it could not be ascertained by evening whether the girl had actually been abducted or not, Ratibad police said.
An eatery owner, near Millennium College, claimed to have seen three youths who took away a girl, wearing a college uniform, in a car.

The colour of the uniform resembled that of the MLB College uniform, the police said, adding that the area was cordoned off and a number of people were quizzed, but nothing concrete could be ascertained. Meanwhile, the shop owner, who passed on the information, was being shown the CCTV footage at the police control room to uncover some clues.
