The city police have nabbed Deepak Prajapati, who hired contract killers to murder his friend Prahlad Shah. Shah, who was absconding for last two days, was arrested from Sayajigunj area.

VADODARA: The city police have nabbed Deepak Prajapati, who hired contract killers to murder his friend Prahlad Shah. Shah, who was absconding for last two days, was arrested from Sayajigunj area.
The police said that he was trying to avoid arrest but he didn't take shelter at any relative or friend's place. Deepak, who is scrap business, was angry as Shah allegedly got into an affair with his wife.
Also, Deepak had to return few lakh rupees to Shah and the police said that the former did not want to pay off. According to the police, Deepak contacted Subhash Bordekar and discussed his plans to bump off Shah. Bordekar played middleman and took Deepak to two persons who are history-sheeters. All the accused made a plan to kill Shah. Shah was called to Deepak's godown in Sayajipura on March 31 for dinner.
When Shah reached the spot, he was killed by Abdul Sheikh and Ganesh Kadam, who were hired by Deepak. They then disposed Shah's body near Waghodia. The accused also tried to mislead the cops by planting his mobile phone and two-wheeler near Amitnagar Circle.
The police arrested Sheikh, Kadam and Bordekar on Tuesday following which the trio revealed the entire modus operandi. Shah was a jeweller and owned a shop in old city area. He is survived by two children and wife.
