Addressing a campaign rally at Sambalpur in Odisha, Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi said the world is moving ahead very fast, if we continue to stay in same situation, we will be left behind and world will go far ahead.

Modi reminded people how a special tribal welfare ministry was created when BJP was in power in centre. Modi said, BJP governments have performed best in awarding land rights to tribal people.

Modi in his speech coined a slogan, “1857 Swaraj ki ladai – Kamal aur roti, 2014 Surajya ki ladai – Kamal aur Modi”.

Modi raised the issues of poor productivity in fields, lack of opportunity for Sambalpur sarees and other handicraft. He gave example of neighboring Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh and said these two states were once known as bimaru states, but now they have emerged as powerful states.

Modi criticized centre for not helping hail storm calamity hit Madhya Pradesh. Modi said the centre showed no concern.

“Yesterday Shivraj shared his pain in parliamentary board meeting in Delhi. PM, his leaders, Shehzade are not concerned,” he said.

“They don’t worry about farmers. They only are worried whether Modi will come to power! While I’m occupied in finding solution to problems of this country, they are busy finding solution to Modi.”

Modi criticized foreign minister for his abusive remark against Election Commission and Supreme Court during his recent London speech.

“I wonder which country he represents and what kind of language he speaks? India should be proud about its largest democracy. In other countries votes are counted for days. Once counting of votes continued for entire week in America. But in India, this task is performed by our election commission in a day. Instead of words of admiration for EC, foreign minister in his speech said, EC doen’t allow govt to work. The way he has spoken against EC, it seems he was finding excuses to justify UPA’s defeat.”

Modi said, the name of INC(Indian National Congress) should be changed as Institution Neglecting Congress. It is their habit to destroy, misuse, abuse, reduce and defame constitutional organizations.

Modi said upcoming election is important. Only electing Narendra Modi as PM is not enough, there should be powerful government. There should not be just token government, but a government that works.

Modi asked, “do you have any hope from your Chief Minister here? Does he work for you? Does he have time for you? Why should I waste time for such a Chief Minister who has no time for his people? We don’t want such government in Delhi. We want a government in Delhi that works. Those who have will should run Delhi.”

In reference to opponents, Modi said, “they have no agenda other than ‘stop Modi’. You have to decide you have to vote not to stop anyone but to push the nation ahead.”
