NASHIK: The sub-regional office of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has given a deadline to employers and establishments for registration of digital signatures, which will help in the online transfer of the provident fund (PF) accounts while changing jobs.
Accordingly, employers with strength of over 500 employees have to make registrations of their digitalised signatures by April 30, while those with strength of 100 to 500 employees have a deadline of June 30 to register digital signatures with the office of the EPFO.

The establishments covered under the Employees Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952 have to register digital signatures of their employees with the EPFO, which will help in online transfer of PF accounts on changing jobs.
Speaking to TOI, a senior official from the EPFO said, "We have given a deadline of April 30 to establishments with strength of 500 employees for registration of digital signatures, and the deadline of June 30 to the employers with strength of 100 to 500 employees."

There are a total of 8,909 employers or establishments in Nashik region. The registration of digitalised signatures would enable the EPF subscribers to apply for online transfer of their accounts through their new employers.
