CASEY, LEONA BOHN Born October 24, 1915 in Douglas, AZ on the Mexican border. Leona grew up on a desert ranch as one of the original pioneer families to the Arizona Territory. She learned to be thrifty at an early age and saved enough money through her job at JC Penney Company to begin investing. In her early 20's she was able to invest $100 in the local copper mine near Bisbee, AZ. Shortly after, she attended a trade school in Waco, Texas and studied to be a bookkeeper. When she graduated, she married John Casey and they relocated to Albuquerque, NM to begin her 38 year career as head bookkeeper at Zeon Sign Company. Leona passed quietly at home on March 17, 2014 with her family at her side. She will join her husband at the Fairview Cemetery. No services will be held. She is survived by her son, Don Dwyer; granddaughter, Jennifer Dwyer and husband, Phil Brown; and her two great-grandchildren, Eli and Ruth.
