Shreyas Talpade gets busy as a producer

Shreyas Talpade has finished shooting for Marathi film Poshter Boyz, his first as an independent producer. Released under his banner, Affluence Movies Pvt. Ltd, the movie revolves around three men — from different age groups and backgrounds — landing in a quirky situation.
We hear that the actor-producer was with the unit throughout the shoot. Says director Sameer Patil, “Shreyas likes to get involved, but not interfere.He was with us constantly and ensured that the shoot progressed rapidly.”

He also assumed the role of an assistant director during the shoot. Shreyas says, “It is imperative to understand various aspects of filmmaking in order to make informed judgements as a producer. Making a film is a multidimensional process; to perceive each step in isolation is futile. I have become more empathetic towards directors now.”
While the release of the film, currently in post-production, is slated for July 4, Shreyas has already planned his next. He explains, “This is not a one-off fascination. I am in the process of finalising my next — a Hindi film.”
