Army rescues three civilians

Srinagar, Apr 1: Army today claimed to have rescued three civilians in Kupwara and Bandipora districts.An Army spokesman said a woman, Nisara Begum of Tangdhar had developed serious pregnancy related complications and required immediate medical surgery.
“Army and Airforce air-lifted her along with her husband and daughter to Srinagar,” the spokesman said.
Earlier, two critically ill patients were lifted from Gurez to Bandipora.
“Gulshana Begum a resident of village Tharbal, Gurez in Bandipora had developed abdominal pain and needed immediate medical attention and was evacuated to Srinagar by an Airforce helicopter for further treatment,” the spokesman said.
He said in another incident a four year boy, Ugil Iqbal a resident of Wampura, Gurez, was also evacuated by helicopter to Bandipora  same day.
