HMV is to open a new store in Galway, creating 25 jobs.
An opening date for the shop on Edward Square has yet to be announced.
The new jobs will bring the total number of people employed by the owners of HMV and Xtra-vision, Hilco Capital, to over 1,000 in Ireland.
The company CEO Larry Howard said: "We were delighted with the response to the integrated Xtra-vision and HMV outlet, which we launched in Galway Shopping Centre back in October of last year and felt that it was time to introduce a stand alone HMV store to the city."
