The Expert Panel investigating the aviation pension row is to hold further talks with both sides in the dispute.
The panel will meet management and unions at the Dublin Airport Authority, the Shannon Airport Authority, and Aer Lingus over the next two weeks, in a bid to resolve the complex row.
A strike by SIPTU over the €780m deficit in their joint pension scheme was only called off two weeks ago, following court action by the DAA and Ryanair.
In an update issued today, the Expert Panel described meetings to date with the parties as "productive".
It said the contacts had highlighted the complexities involved and had also identified the extent of agreement and difference on all relevant issues.
It said that intensive discussions will continue immediately to address a number of critical issues, which should now be explored jointly in the hope of deepening the panel's understanding of the scope for progress between the parties.
It will report back within two weeks to the parties including ICTU, IBEC, the Department of Transport Tourism and Sport, and the Department of Jobs Enterprise and Innovation.
