FDDI admission process for 2014 begins
The eligible and interested candidates can apply latest by May 19.
The Footwear Design and Development Institute, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India has invited applications for admissions to undergraduate and post graduate programmes for the academic session beginning in 2014. The eligible and interested candidates can apply latest by May 19.
FDDI offers admissions to programmes that include Footwear Design, Production and Management; Leather Goods and Accessories; Fashion Design; Retail Management; Business Management at various campuses that include Noida, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Chhinawara, Fusatganj and Chennai.
The candidates will be short-listed on the basis their performances in All India Selection test (AIST). AIST is an online exam which is conducted to test the knowledge of the students in subjects such as GK, general science/reasoning, English and mathematics.
The courses available at FDDI consists of M.Des creative designing CAD/CAM, MBA Footwear Design & Production Management, MBA Fashion Merchandise and Retail Management, B. Des Fashion Design, B. Des Footwear Design and Production Management, B. Des Leather Goods and Accessories Design and Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandise and Retail Management.
Besides, FDDI also offers an integrated five-year duration programme in business management.
Important dates:
- Last date for submission of application forms: May 19
- AIST 2014: June 13, 14 and 15
- Result declaration: June 30
- Counseling (PG candidates): July 9, 10 and 11
- Counseling (UG candidates): July 14, 15, 16 and 17
