Shaan Bhagh village in darkness, women protest against PDD

BHADERWAH, Mar 28: The power supply in the Shaan Bhagh village remained snapped for the past over two weeks, compelling the women to held protest against Power Development Department (PDD).
The protesting women led by Naib Sarpanch of Shaan Bhagh village, Udrana Shamim Khalid raised slogans against PDD and demanded immediate repair of the transformer.
The protestors informed that more than 300 families in Shaan Bhagh area are living without electricity for last over two weeks as the transformer in the area went out of order.
The protestors alleged that despite repeated requests, PDD officials failed to repair the transformer in the village compelling them to come on roads.
The protestors urged the district administration to look into the matter and direct the concerned officials to repair the transformer otherwise the people will be forced to block the Bhaderwah-Doda road.
Among others present were Misra Begum, Shada Begum, Shaista Begum, Rabia Begum, Sudra Begum, Sakina Beebi, Shazia, Tasleema, etc.
