Digital design and build agency Degree 53 has expanded its team with the appointment of a new sales and marketing director. The business, which is based at the Sharp Project in Manchester, has hired Stefan Rodgers.

Bakery chain Sayers has selected PR and social media agency Democracy to handle its PR. The Manchester-based agency is to work with the brand on its Poundbakery and Poundcafe rollout strategy.

Preston communications agency Freshfield has secured two new clients. The business has been appointed to provide a UK-wide integrated communications programme for SMD Group and a media relations and social media brief for the Lakeside Hotel and Spa in Windermere.

An online directory and map has been launched for Levenshulme. The Love Levenshulme website has been set up to provide digital access to information about the area's attractions and events.

Mason Williams has collaborated with Neoco founder Benn Achilleas founder to launch a digital agency. We Are Native is based in London and Manchester and is currently working on briefs for hotels, football clubs and banks.

McCann Manchester has expanded its team with the appointment of Louise Jackson as talent and development director. Jackson, who joined from EDC Communications in London, will be responsible for the agency's HR, recruitment and talent development functions.

One Marketing Communications in Manchester has created a new website for kitchen appliance brand Britannia Living. It is part of a campaign by One to manage all advertising, marketing, PR and digital output for the business.

Two creative companies have agreed property deals at Northwich Business Centre. The Cheshire Design Agency has agreed a 12 month deal to take Suite S27 while marketing agency Solutions 24-7, which already occupies Suite S31, has taken additional space.

Macclesfield agency Vibe has been appointed by recruitment company Cast UK. The agency is to provide a multi-channel campaign strategy for the business.

Procurement software company Wax Digital is to develop new technology to allow employees to purchase goods for their company from any internet site without the loss of purchasing controls or corporate approval. The Manchester-based company's Fuse project is backed by the Technology Strategy Board.
